Steiff’s exquisite mouse; Xenia, is crafted from the finest light brown wool plush and she has a delicate felt tail, ears and paws and wears a sweet lace collar around her neck and satin ribbon bow on her head. She carries with her a beautifully crafted miniature red mohair teddy bear. This adorable miniature teddy bear is inspired by a red teddy bear from 1908 that was made as a prototype. This red ‘sample’ bear became a favourite of a Russian Princess called Xenia. In 1989, this special bear became the first antique teddy bear to set a World Record when it sold at auction.
Limited to only 1,500 pieces, she comes with her numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
